WP5 CRS network modelling

WP5 - CRS network modelling [Months: 6-48]

MUW

Description and role of ESRs / beneficiaries / partner organizations:

Bioinformatics-based disease network models as generated by proteomics analysis reflect more accurately the pathophysiology of diseases, and enable assessing the value of biomarker and target candidates in diagnostic and predictive signatures of disease. This was recently shown by INSERM, MOS, RDN, BRFAA and UKA1, who revealed new insights in molecular mecha-nisms underlying CKD and biomarkers for CKD patient stratification using a disease network modelling approach in the EU projects iMODE-CKD and SysKid. In this WP, ESR4/MUW will be extensively trained to integrate proteomics/peptidomics datasets from ESR1/UKA1, ESR2/BRFAA and ESR3/MOS with clinical information of the patient in databases, building on expertise in database generation in e.g. SysKid, iMODE-CKD, and e-LICO releasing the “KUPKB” database (INSERM, MUW). ESR4/MUW will then use this database to generate highdimensional network models of CRS using a bioinformatics and biostatistics approach, and use these models to assess the value and prioritize biomarker candidates in diagnostic and predictive signatures of CRS.
